Iluminar means “light” in Portuguese and since Mark is of Portuguese heritage, it just made sense… At HBO he was an award-winning staff writer/producer, creating a wide array of movie spots and featurettes. Cerulli was also one of the original producers of HBO’s long running E-news interstitial series, “HBO BUZZ”, covering original movies, documentaries, events and sports. (Even though he knows next to nothing about sports!) He also interviewed over 120 celebrities at junkets, red carpets and one-on-ones.

As a Senior Copywriter at HBO, Cerulli created copy lines for HBO movie posters, wrote brochures, print ads and marketing kits. He even coined the title for their popular comedy series “HBO One Night Stand.” He has done copywriting jobs for Bloomberg TV, BBC America and for the upcoming feature film NICAEA.

A serious movie fan (action and horror are favorites), Cerulli produced MGM DVD documentaries on Goldfinger and Thunderball; and wrote/produced/directed making of documentaries on the original Halloween, Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 for Anchor Bay Home Entertainment. Working with the Monsters HD Channel, he produced/directed Halloween: Faces of Fear, a 20-minute documentary that got a limited theatrical release as part of a Halloween double feature.

Cerulli brings a fan’s enthusiasm and a veteran’s expertise to every project and works with a select group of highly talented editors and camera crews to get the best possible result.
